Edit

The Shimano Sonora 2500 FB is a low-cost spinning reel. This spinning reel has a cold forged aluminum spool, which helps to make it durable. The 2500 FB features the Propulsion Line Management System. This system features a spool lip design that prevents backlashes while increasing cast strength. This reel's Super Stopper II feature uses a one-way bearing to eliminate backplay. The Fluidrive II feature increases gear contact to help make retrieve smooth. This reel differs from the closely related 1000 FB model in that the 1000 FB has twenty-eight inches of line retrieve per crank (as opposed to the 2500 FB's thirty-two inches), weighs 7.7 ounces (as opposed to the 2500 FB's 9.4 ounces), has only seven pounds of maximum drag (as opposed to the 2500 FB's fifteen pounds) has a different line capacity (2/270, 4/140, 6/110 as opposed to the 2500 FB's 6/200, 8/140, 10/120), and has a different power pro line capacity (10/95, 15/85, 20/65 as opposed to the 2500 FB's 10/170, 15/145, 30/95). This model differs from the closely related 4000 FB model in that the 4000 FB model has thirty-three inches of line retrieve per crank, has a 8/240, 10/200, 12/160 line capacity, a 15/265, 30/175, 50/145 power pro line capacity, twenty pounds of maximum drag, a 5.7:1 gear ratio (as opposed to the 3000 Front Drag's 6.2:1), and weighs 12.4 ounces. The Shimano Sonora 2500 FB spinning reel is created with Shimano's S Concept, which emphasizes a smooth, silent and durable design.
