The Sherwood RD-5405 is a low-cost 5.1 channel A/V receiver. There are 60 watts of power per channel on the RD-5405, and each channel is equipped with a Totally Discrete Amplifier Stage (TDAS), which allows you to pinpoint the sound of each channel, and also cuts back on unwanted noise. Each channel is also equipped with a 192 kHz/24 bit digital to analog audio converter, so that you can be sure the quality of your audio in consistent no matter the source. The RD-5405 has adjustable A/V synch delay, in case you need to fine tune the interaction between audio and video. This receiver is a step down from the higher cost RD-7405 in that the RD-7405 has 7.1 channels (as opposed to the RD-5405's 5.1 channels), two composite video inputs, one composite video output, Zone 2 audio preamp, Dolby Pro Logic IIx (as opposed to Dolby Pro Logic II) and 3 digital inputs (as opposed to 2). For ease of setup, the Sherwood RD-5405 5.1 channel A/V receiver comes with color coded speaker terminals.
