The Sharp BD-HP52U is a high end Blu-ray player built to integrate with AQUOS displays. It uses an HDMI interface that will carry audio and video to any HDMI compatible device, but when paired with a Sharp AQUOS display it can also carry control signals to coordinate the two devices. It broadcasts in full HD 1080p at 24 fps, but can also display standard DVDs at improved quality. Full Dolby standard support is also included.

Extra features include a JPEG slideshow function and a RS-232 Control Port, made available for future applications. This device updates itself via standard Internet connection.
