The Sharp BD-HP50 is a 1080p Profile 1.1 blu-ray player with the ability to upscale DVDs to 1080p. It features HDMI 1.3, allowing for 7.1 channel audio and has built-in decoding of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio. It also is capable of 5.1 audio via analog output. The BD-HP50 is compatible with MPEG-2, MPEG-2-HD, MPEG-4, MPEG-4AVC and VC-1 codecs. The player also features Lip Sync technology for automatically detecting and correcting display device sync issues, and has Aquos Link for synchronizing with other Aquos A/V products.
