The BD-HP24U is a mid-priced Blu-ray player new from Sharp in 2010. The aim of this Blu-ray player is to have maximum compatibility with the Sharp AQUOS LCD HD TV. To that end, the BD-HP24U comes equipped with AQUOS PURE MODE, which recognizes a connection with a Sharp AQUOS TV and adjusts automatically to get the best quality of picture. It is Netflix ready and features Sharp's Deep Color technology, which helps enhance the picture quality. The BD-HP24U has a slimline design that is a space-saver. With the fact that it uses just 14 watts of power in operating mode and 0.4 watts in standby, this Blu-ray player is also an energy saver. The Sharp BD-HP24U is Energy Star compliant.
