The Sharp Aquos LC-42D69U is a 42" high-performance LCD panel TV that will be released in the first quarter of 2011 with the almost identical 32" Aquos LC-32D59U. This model has better resolution at 1920 x 1080 HD compared to 1366 x 768 HDTV in that version, while they both have a high brightness, high contrast display with wide viewing angle for watching in high light situations and from different locations in the room without picture fading. 4 HDMI inputs are standard, with this model having all four on the rear panel as opposed to 2 on the back and 2 on the side, and of course the HDMI inputs in this case are all 1080p compatible. A nice feature on these sets is a built-in media player with USB input so you can instantly connect and enjoy video, pictures and music from a portable device. The response time in this case is slightly better as well at 6.5 ms, although one thing the 32" version has that this does not is an S-Video input. Otherwise they both have the same set of 2 HD Component inputs, 1 Composite input, audio inputs via RCA and a 15-pin D-sub PC input. OPC or optical picture control is also included which uses a light sensor to automatically adjust brightness according to ambient light conditions, and removable table stand and remote control are included. The Aquos LC-42D69U comes with Sharp's own AQUOS Advantage support which is a 24 hour support service with exclusive benefits.
