The Sanyo DP47840 is an entry-level 47" 1080p LCD HDTV with Energy Star certification. It features a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,600:1 and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Additionally, the DP47840 sports three HDMI inputs, two HD component, one composite and a VGA input for use with PCs and Macs as well as a USB input and an integrated Digital Clear QAM ATSC and Analog NTSC cable tuner.

Its USB input allows the DP47840 to view image files in a slideshow format directly from any USB flash storage device. Meanwhile, the DP47840's Digital Clear QAM ATSC and Analog NTSC cable tuner allows it to pick up analogue, digital scrambled and digital unscrambled cable stations.
