Cons

Same here, 14 months and nothing but black screen for about 10 seconds then the power light goes out. Tech says it's the Main Board $350 a year to keep it running? Junk, junk, junk.

Research before you buy! Just like many other people, mine went black after 14 months. Two months out of warranty. Coincidence? Power supply failure is very common. $500 fix. Dont buy it.

The Sanyo DP46840 is a low-end 46" 1080p LCD HDTV with Energy Star certification. Its 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles ensure a clear picture from most positions in front of the unit while its 5000:1 dynamic contrast ratio provides deep blacks and bright whites. Additionally, the DP46840 sports a number of digital and analogue ports for easier integration into most home theatre setups.

The DP46840's 178 degree horizontal/vertical viewing angles allow for a larger viewing range in which the image quality will remain very similar to head-on viewing. Its 5000:1 dynamic contrast ratio provides the DP46840 with somewhat darker blacks and bright whites for improved overall picture quality. Additionally, the DP46840 features 3 HDMI ports for high definition devices, a VGA input for use with your Mac or PC and a USB port which allows for direct photo viewing from most USB storage devices.
