SanDisk's Extreme IV CompactFlash Card is a portable media card intended for use with compatible DSLR cameras. Note that not all DSLRs use CompactFlash media, so this should be verified before purchasing. This particular model is the second in the Extreme series, a step up from the "Extreme III" model, but below the "Extreme" one. Its read/write speed capability tops out at 45 MB/s, 15MB/s faster than the Extreme III. This relatively fast rate is mainly intended for high-definition continual shooting modes or video capture. It has a lower range of capacities than some of SanDisk's other Extreme CF cards. It performs weather under extreme weather conditions, like low or high temperatures, and is shock- and vibration-resistant as well.
