SandDisk's Extreme III SDHC cards come with a 4GB capacity and are largely intended for use with high-end photographic or video recording equipment, as they are designed to be robust and to function well in adverse conditions (such as varying or extreme temperature conditions, or moisture). It meets the Class 6 speed rating, indicating a sustained write speed of at least 6 MB/s, but SandDisk maintains that it can write at speeds of 20MB/s. Somewhat counter-intuitively, the Extreme III is an older model from 2007 that has been replaced by the SanDisk Extreme model, which is faster overall.
