Edit

The Samsung BD-D6700 is a midrange Wi-Fi Blu-ray player released in early 2011 alongside the weaker BD-D6500. It offers 3D Blu-ray playback like its peer, but it adds along 2D-to-3D upconversion. Plus it offers twin HDMI v1.4 outputs that can deliver both 3D and 7.1-channel surround sound through legacy A/V receivers. Like its counterpart, the Samsung BD-D6700 centers around Samsung Apps and Smart Hub technology. The former allows it to stream Internet content (YouTube, Vudu, etc.), while the latter lets a user search through these streaming sources for specific content.  Additional features include AllShare DLNA for PC streaming, 1-foot connection for auto router connectivity, and 1080p upscaling.
