Edit

The Samsung BD-D6500 is a midrange Wi-Fi Blu-ray player with integrated Smart Hub content-searching software. This new technology (2011) has the capability to search through media-streaming services for specific content, as well as make recommendations. He player can also handle 3D Blu-ray discs, though it doesn’t offer 2D-to-3D conversion like its counterpart, the BD-D670. It can however upconvert standard content to full 1080p HD. Its signature feature is its ability to access Samsung Apps, which means it can stream Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, Vandora, and much more. Plus it’s DLNA-compliant, which means it can also stream content from a PC. There’s also a 1-foot connection functionality wherein the unit can be hitched to a router without having to use a password—but only if it’s within 1-ft of it.
