The BD-C6800 is a mid-level Blu-ray Disc player from Samsung, released in July 2010. This 3D player is capable of Full 1080p video output, BD-Live 2.0 functionality and internet streaming over its built-in Wi-Fi.
The BD-C6800 features support for 3D movies and television through its use of 3D active glasses (sold separately). According to Samsung, this player also coverts 2D movies, sports and TV shows to 3D as well. A variety of web-connected apps are built-in providing users with everything from streaming video and games, to sports and news updates. Those with Blockbuster and Netflix accounts can instantly stream movies, while YouTube is also supported for watching clips. Facebook, Twitter and Pandora radio services have been integrated for social media fans. All of these features are enabled through the BD-C6800’s built-in Wi-Fi connection.
