The Samsung BD-C5500 is the cheapest model in the line of Blu-ray Disc players announced at CES2010. It is the entry-level player made for consumers who want the basic Blu-ray Disc playback and "Internet@TV" applications which are only available on the higher end models, such as the BD-C6500 or the BD-C7500. Also has access to the "Internet@TV" applications, the Samsung BD-C5500 is Wi-Fi ready and can be connected with the purchase of an optional USB piece. The model is an energy efficient model, offering reduced power consumption when compared to the other, more expensive models which are packed with power consuming features.
