Edit

The Samsung PN50C490 is a budget 3D plasma television. With its $1100 MSRP, it is one of the first flat screen 3DTV's to be near the $1000 mark. It has a 720p resolution, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 600Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it offers playback of media over USB and wireless streaming of media from DLNA-compatible (UPnP A/V) devices. With the lower price come some compromises, and the PN50C490 gives up a higher 1080p resolution, and lacks some functions such as picture-in-picture, as well as higher contrast ratios and slimmer profiles that are found in higher-end Samsung plasma televisions.
