The XL30 is a high-end computer monitor that uses an LED-backlit screen, and the largest of the SyncMaster XL LED displays. It is the next model up from the SyncMaster XL24, and has, for the most part, the same features. The main difference is that its screen is larger, at 30" diagonal, and has the same 16:10 image aspect ratio as the 24-inch version. The contrast ratio is still 1000:1 and overall brightness is slightly less than the lower models, at 200 cd/m2. One other upgrade is that the pixel response time is 2 ms faster, at 6 ms. The LED backlighting is designed to provide a brighter and wider color gamut than typical LCD displays, and this does translate into a higher number of colors but also makes for a higher price point. It has the same wide viewing angle of 178 degrees, though, like the XL20 and XL24 it does not have any HDMI inputs, although its 15-pin D-Sub connector is HD-compatible. The display's native resolution is 2560 x 1600, and it accepts DVI-I, DVI-D and VGA formats. Samsung also covers this model with a 3-year warranty. There is a large price jump between the XL24 and the XL30 models.
