The Samsung SyncMaster BX2250 is one of two LED backlit, 1080p monitors (BX2235, BX2250) released in summer 2010 as smaller counterparts to the SyncMaster BX2335 and BX2350 models. As an upgrade over its peer (the BX2235), the 21.5” Samsung BX2250 sacrifices DVI connectivity for D-Sub (VGA) and HDMI connectivity instead. Plus it adds along a Magic Eco Return function that allows a user running dual monitors to switch one off and have the content automatically switch over to the remaining display. Otherwise a duplicate, it took offers a full 1080p resolution along a 2ms response time and with a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Samsung BX2250 is a really good monitor. I have had it for over a year and I have had no problems! Before buying it, check if it comes with a bundled DVI to HDMI cable since the monitor only has two HDMI ports and a VGA port. You also may need external speakers since it doesn't have built in speakers. other than that, the monitor is really good value for money

I think the brightness would be an issue if you're sitting really close to it. I had a Samsung monitor for work and did find the brightness pretty intense for staring at it 8+ hours a day. However, if you're sitting back playing 360 games, then the extra brightness would actually be a good thing. Make it easier to see, particularly in the daytime.

yeah, it depends where you have it. If you have a very bright room with big windows and lots of daylight, or very bright lights, your eyes would be fine, and actually prefer a very bright monitor. Otherwise you'd be straining them in a dark, or with low output lighting - even if it seems bright enough in the room. Still I would think this monitor had brightness control haha. I guess that doesn't always work, currently use my 2209WA at 0 brightness, and it's *just* right - any higher and I'd have strain.

DON'T BUY SAMSUNG MONITORS. ZERO BRIGHTNESS MEANS VERY BRIGHT. MY EYES HURTS EVERYTIME I USE THIS MONITOR. wITH MY PREVIOUS MONITOR, ZERO BRIGHTNESS MEANS BLACK. WITH THIS PRODUCT, IT IS STILL WHITE.
