The Samsung Highnote (SPH-m630) is a mobile slider phone released by Sprint Mobile in late 2008. It has primarily been designed to function as a portable music/video player, as it includes Sprint TV, the Sprint Music Store, and even Sprint Radio. Included also are Java James, support for mobile printing, and Bluetooth wireless technology. Overall, critics laud the Highnote for exceptional-quality audio, but bemoan its “abysmal” music software, which doesn’t play WMA files, doesn’t sync playlists with a MC, and doesn’t support song filtering by artist or album. Additional features include an integrated camera/camcorder, GPS with text-to-speech directions, and email.
