Edit

RCA's RS2052 is a fairly standard low-end shelf system, although with some unique functionality. It includes a 128MB MP3 player which connects via USB to the main unit, allowing CDs to be ripped directly to the MP3 player. Recordings are limited to a 128 Kbps quality setting, and must be done in real time. The unit features a compact five-disc changer supporting MP3 and WMA CDs, a digital AM/FM tuner, and a built-in alarm clock. The RS2052's central "Rip & Go" feature has major drawbacks, but the included MP3 player and good sound quality achieved with Dynamic Bass Boost and 160W of total power provide decent value.
