How much light does it give off (an estimated radius)?
In a 24x24 room with white walls it lights the room nicely but to read by it you need to have it within 8 ft of you. We loved it so much we have bought three of them so far.
How do you install the batteries?
Twist the battery cover off at the base. Hold the lantern upside down and twist the square rubberized battery cover counter clockwise. It should pop off with a half turn. Put the batteries in position. Then line up the two red arrows when re-positioning the cover.
