The QNAP TS-110 is a network-attached storage device released into the Turbo NAS line in late 2009. It’s engineered to work with small office / at home (SOHO) businesses and is 100% compatible with Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and UNIX networks. It features a single 3.5” SATA drive (up to 2TB), a Marvell 800MHz processor, and 256MB of DDR2 RAM. Pivotal to the TS-110 is its wide-range of advanced features: iSCI Target service w/thin provisioning; Gigabit LAN; S.M.A.R.T hard disk health monitoring; and policy-based IP blocking. Note also that the server includes an embedded UPnP/DLNA media server with TwonkyMedia that can handle a plethora of DLNA players, including Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming consoles. The only drawback to the server is its limited expansion options: USB 2.0 and eSATA.
