Polk's RM line of speakers are designed to be used together as part of a home theater surround setup. The speakers feature a titanium or pewter metallic finish. Th RM8000T/RM50T are the upgrade to the RM7400T/RM40T. Each speaker has 4 x 4 1/2" mid/woofer drivers, and a single 1" silk/polymer tweeter (the RM7400/RM40T have only 2 mid drivers). Wow. What a great deal on Woot today for these speakers. For $400, you get yourself a pretty sweet pair of speakers. The bass is better on these than the RM7400T/RM40T going down to 42 Hz compared to 55 Hz. They also add bi-amplification and bi-wiring options with the dual binding posts.
