Polk Audio's Atrium 4 Speakers are a member of the Atrium outdoor speaker lineup. This product's main feature is that it surpasses military-specification weather tests and is thus essentially weatherproof. The target market is therefore those who want to install speakers around the pool or patio, or a variety of other outdoor recreation or even business uses. This model also has improved sound performance and is easier to mount and install (though mounting is not required). Purchasers should note that these speakers must be connected to a driver via speaker cable, and are recommended with power ratings of 10 to 80 watts per channel.  The bass-treble range of audio performance is intended to be full, so that there is no need for additional weatherproof speakers of different ranges, though the Atrium 4's could form part of such a setup if desired.
