The Pioneer DEH-1300MP is a basic head unit and CD receiver that can play a number of digital formats. The CD drive can handle CD-R/RW discs, and will read MP3, WMA and WAV files. Playback of compressed audio runs through the Advanced Sound Retriever, which expands the files to give a fuller, richer sound. The front AUX port will accept sound input from portable media players that can connect with a 3.5mm mini-jack. Audio output runs to 4 channels at 50 watts each, and an additional 2 volt preout is also available for an external amplifier. Sound quality can be adjusted through a 3-band Parametric equalizer, and a 2-mode loudness function enables selective amplification to bring out the details.
