Edit

The Clarion NP509 is an optional GPS navigation accessory device designed to be used with a Clarion touchscreen A/V head unit: the VZ709, VX709, or VZ509. Once hooked up, users can use the attached touchscreen unit to access over 12 million built-in POIs, receive audible voice commands in 3 different languages (English/French/Spanish), and view landmarks, maps, and traffic lanes in 3D. The selling point of this unit is its compact, lightweight, and highly portable form—it takes up a minimal amount of automobile space. Plus, it removes the need for maintaining two separate touchscreens (head-unit & GPS) by allowing the head-unit to handle all user functions. Additional notable aspects of the Clarion NP509 include 2GB of flash memory, automatic route recalculations, and data on signposts.
