price is a little high considering there aren't a lot of functions included and comparable devices (Denon DNS3700) are almost half the price

Edit

The CDJ-900 is a high-end digital media player form Pioneer that offers a step-up from the company's CDJ-800MK2 model. Compatible with a wide variety of digital audio formats via CD-R/RW and USB device connectivity, this model incorporates a number of advanced manipulation technologies for professional disc jockey applications. MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF files are natively supported, with visual track referencing available via a multi-line LCD display. "Slip Mode" enables users to perform live scratching, effects processing and looping of a given track segment, silently playing back the rest of the selection before cueing back to the appropriate point when manipulation is complete. Automatic beat looping is also available, enabling users to pre-configure common loop lengths and apply them in real time. Loop markers are intelligently placed at the strongest point of a given transient in effort to minimize unwanted popping and clicking on segment playback. The inclusion of MIDI data connectivity enables the CDJ-900 to be externally controlled by a compatible hardware or software device, and can also be used to sent prompts from the unit itself. Pioneer has included it's own "Rekordbox" music management software with the player for quick categorization of a user's entire media library, assigning BPM data and automatic cue points for further real-time integration.
