The Pioneer XW-NAV1-K is a home theater docking station for Apple iPod and iPhone devices, released in June 2010. This product allows users to dock most iPod and iPhone models in order to listen to music or watch movies. This docking station is similar to Pioneer’s XW-NAC1-K and XW-NAC3-K. Both are higher-end docks that support the use of 2 iPods/iPhones simultaneously and feature options such as Bluetooth audio streaming or DLNA home networking. The XW-NAV1-K is a fully functional CD/DVD player, complete with HDMI video out for use with HDTVs. Those who aren’t very computer savvy will likely appreciate the CD-to-MP3 ripping feature. With the touch of a button, music can be converted to MP3 and transferred to an attached USB thumb drive. For added convenience, any devices plugged in will charge while in this docking station. If a phone call comes in while docked, any music playing or audio from a movie will automatically be muted. A remote control is included in the box.
