Cons

Very large compared to most competing alternatives.

2 agree

No wall mounting equipment is included but is practically required for the center channel which won't fit well in most home theater enclosures.

1 agrees

Faux-wood finish looks kind of tacky compared to the sleek finish found on most competing systems.

Edit

The Pioneer SP-PK21BS is a lower mid-cost 5.1 channel speaker system. This system consists of two pairs of SP-BS21-LR bookshelf loudspeakers (for the high/mid end), a SP-C21 center-channel speaker (which handles most of the dialog and effects) and a SW-8 powered subwoofer to handle the bass frequencies (the higher cost SP-PK51FS model adds on a pair of skinny SP-FS51-LR floorstanding loudspeakers to replace one of the pairs of bookshelf loudspeakers, which gives you more room placement options). The center and bookshelf speakers utilize a crossover design geared toward clarity across the frequency spectrum, while the SW-8's vented enclosure offers a deep, clean bass performance. In order to reduce vibrations that can mess with the sound, the speakers of the Pioneer SP-PK21BS system have a curved cabinet construction.
