The Pioneer HDJ-500 is a mid-cost pair of over-ear DJ headphones. Pioneer promotes these headphones as adapting the style and audio technology of Pioneer’s high-end HDJ-2000 headphones, but in a lower cost package with smaller earcups. These headphones offer accurate audio reproduction, especially in the low and mid frequency ranges, which are key in remixing. This is thanks to the 40mm dome style driver unit, which promotes a frequency range of 5Hz - 28,000Hz. For DJ performance flexibility, the HDJ-500 features a rotating arm structure that allows rotation of the right earpiece by as much as 60 degrees both ways. Included with the Pioneer HDJ-500 are a pair of interchangeable cords, a 1.2 meter side mount coil cord (which can extend up to three meters), and a one meter long straight cord.
