The Pioneer VSX-517 is a 5.1 channel x 110 watts that comes with pretty advanced features for its price ($200) and the date of its release (2007). It has a powerful 110 watts per channel, and a host of audio digital decoders such as Dolby® Digital EX, DTS-ES®, Dolby Pro-Logic IIx, and DTS 96/24 decoders. It also features a new FreescaleTM 180 MIP Digital Signal Processor DSP. It also comes packed with some interesting exclusive technologies to Pioneer such as Phase Control for bass management, Hybrid Amplifier Design II, and Front Stage Surround Advance, allowing users to place their surround speakers in the front of the room if they don't want to run the wiring at the back of the room and still want to make the most out of the 5.1 sound experience.
