The Pioneer VSX-1017TXV-K is a 7.1 channel a/v receiver released in the summer of 2007. It features HDMI switching, but doesn't do audio over HDMI. It has 120 Watts / channel of power to each of its seven channels. It has an MSRP of $499. the VSX-x17 series of receivers were superceded by the VSX-x18 lineup from 2008 with the VSX-1018AH-K being the closest alternative; it adds video upscaling and full audio processing over HDMI including high-definition audio decoding for $599.
