Edit

The Pioneer Elite VSX-21TXH is the third of four high-tech A/V receivers in Pioneer’s Elite series. It serves as a much more inexpensive, albeit less-featured HD-compatible, 7.1-channel A/V receiver. It features a Direct Energy Class A/B amplifier AND video-upscaling for watching Blu-Ray films (player connected externally) in 1080p with dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master audio. Note also that the VSX-21TXH hosts a USB interface for connecting an iPhone or iPod, as well as XM and SIRUS Satellite Radio readiness. Unlike its superior counterparts, this receiver does NOT allow for network connectivity—but it does allow for up to two zones of A/V distribution. Considering its price, expandability, AND supported formats (see below), the VSX-21TXH is a fair bargain.
