Edit

The Ping Anser Irons represent a set of upgraded, premium-grade Anser (1967) irons released in 2010. Geared for single-digit handicappers of any skill level, the premium Anser iron is neither compact nor overly large. Featured is a nickel Tungsten weight in the sole for a low and deep CG, easy launch, and higher trajectory; machined grooves for enhanced forgiveness; and forged 8620 carbon steel, which critics say provides a much softer and quieter feel that reduced impact vibrations. Several shafts are available, but the Ping AWT is the one most recommended. This long shaft uses ascending weight that works with the Answer’s lightwight/soft construction to provide greater control, as well as push distance and forgiveness.
