The Philips BDP9500 is a stylish, 7.1-channel Blu-ray disc player released alongside the BDP7500 during the latter portion of 2009. Between the two, it is the flagship, as it incorporates a Qdeo video processor to eliminate unwanted noise AND a Burr-Brown analogue-to-digital converter for each and every one of the discrete audio channels. Added to that the high-resolution Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound, and the result is much more impressive, higher-quality audio and video content. Like its weaker sister, the BDP9500 also supports advanced HD-upscaling to 1080p, DivX Ultra-compatibility, AND BD-Live™ 2.0—more than enough to view the most technologically advanced disc content, as well as download/access interactive web content. Included also are touch-sensitive controls, making the Philips BDP9500 easy to operate by even beginners.
