In addition to playing BDs at a full 1080p resolution and upscaling DVDs to 1080i, the Philips BDP7520/F7 offers integrated Ethernet and WiFi connectivity. Via the Windows MediaConnect (WMC) UPnP AV interface, users can use the device as a computer—share videos, access social networking sites, etc. Plus the device is 3D ready, meaning users can partake in 3D blu-ray discs, though they must separately purchase a pair of compatible 3D glasses. Additional features include DivX video compatibility, and 7.1-channel Dolby TrueHD audio output via HDMI.
