The Philips BDP7500 is a stylish, 7.1-channel Blu-ray disc player released alongside the BDP9500 during the latter portion of 2009. It’s enclosed in a sleek frame with an aluminum finish and a tang of blue bling, and is available in two separate colors: “sophisticated silver” and “black silk.” It’s loaded with 7.1 discrete analog outputs, as well as high-resolution Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound. As for the video, it supports advanced HD-upscaling to 1080p AND DivX Ultra-comptability, which is a relatively rare feat for modern-age (2000-2009) Blu-ray players. Included also with the BDP7500 is BD-Live™ 2.0 for downloading interactive web content. Added to that the unit’s touch-sensitive controls, the Philips BDP7500 is an easy-to-operate Blu-ray disc player that even beginners can use to watch and listen to pure high-definition audio/video content.
