The Philips HDR612 is a digital video recorder (DVR) that is designed to be used with the TiVo service provider, and was a part of the first ever commercially produced TiVo HDR line from 2001 to 2002.  All models in the HDR line have essentially the same features, with their major differences being drive size and face plate appearance.  This model has two 30GB hard drives and can record up to 60 hours of programming at basic quality. It is compatible with cable, satellite and rooftop antennas and is easily setup by connecting between your TV set and source (cable, satellite or antenna). It requires a phone connection to update the program information, which allows you to choose which programs you want to record. The Philips HDR612 comes with a 32 button remote control.
