The PicoPix PPX-1230 is a small portable projector and the mid-level out of three PicoPix projectors that were announced by Philips for release in October 2010. Specs are yet unavailable but it is known that they all have SVGA 800 X 600 resolution and 400:1 contrast ratio as well as 20 to 30 ANSI lumens of brightness depending on the model. This version purportedly uses a rechargeable battery and comes with a built-in stereo loudspeaker, while the PPX-1430 has a speaker and also an MP4 player and SD card slot. The cheapest and most basic in the series is the PPX-1030, which is also the smallest and can only be powered by USB.
