The Philips DCM292/37 is a Micro Hi-Fi system built with a docking station for an iPod or iPhone. This is similar to the Philips DCM278/37, but with a pair of higher powered 10 Watt speakers for louder audio output. A line input for other MP3 players has also been added, enabling the use of other portable media devices. Otherwise they are the same, with similar slim designs that enable wall mounting and Dynamic Bass Boost for louder low frequency audio. Music can be played directly from an iPod or iPhone, or played from a USB storage device. The FM tuner can store up to 20 station presets, and the CD player can play standard audio CDs or data discs containing MP3 and WMA files.
