Edit

The Philips MCD703 is a mid-range micro home theater system. The stylish shelf system plays a wide variety of audio and video formats, including CDs, MP3 CDs, and DVDs. The 100W unit features Dolby Digital technology, delivering high-quality, realistic surround sound in movies and music. Other features include Dynamic Bass boost, for an enhanced lower range, and Digital Sound Control, which optimizes the sound balance for different types of music. Progressive scan component video and 12-bit processing produce good image quality from varied sources, but the unit has issues after some use with recognizing DVDs, and is no longer manufactured by Philips.
