Edit

The HTS9140 is a high-end sound-bar home theater system released by Philips. Like the model it replaces, the HTS8100, it utilizes Ambisound technology to produce a virtual 5.1-channel surround sound experience, supporting DTS-HD and Dolby True HD audio decoding. The HTS9140 most significantly adds a Blu-ray drive to its predecessor, and may retain DVD upscaling capabilities. Designed to be paired with 40" or larger HDTVs, the HTS9140 also comes with a Wi-Fi USB adapter, allowing it to access media stored on a networked PC, as well as Net TV services.

Features
  • Ambisound technology
  • DTS-HD
  • Dolby True HD
  • Blu-ray/DVD/CD playback
  • HDMI output
  • Wi-Fi USB adapter
  • DLNA-certified
  • Net TV
  • Touch controls
  • For 40"+ HDTVs

I own a Hilips HTS 7140 SoundBar and I consider the product is overpriced for the quality of sound it delivers. This to me is backed-up with absolutely dismaying service by Philips. They just don't bother about their customer once the product is sold. No one cares to ensure the DEMO of the installed system, No calls to check if the customer needs help or if they are happy / satisfied with their purchase. Worse yet is the customer care executives and call centre executives who are the biigest MORONs for being paid for displaying incompetency. Do I suggest the product ? NO, simply because the product is only as good as the services you get.
