The Philips SHE9800/97 is an in-ear set of headphones.  The Philips SHE9800 line has a variety of features designed to improve sound quality and durability.  To improve the sound the Philips SHE9800/97 is designed with a sound stage enhancer structure which is different from conventional headphone structure, microdrivers to give a wider frequency range especially for the iPod nano, acoustic tuning to give greater output from lower frequencies and a slight 15-degree tilt to angle the acoustics based off of general ear canal shape creating more of a seal against ambient noise.  With 3 sizes of soft silicon interchangable caps, the Philips SHE9800/97 is designed to give a personalized fit no matter whose ears they are in.
