Edit

The Panasonic SDR-S26 is an entry-level, compact camcorder that weighs just 300 grams. The third of three Panasonic SDR-H camcorders, the Panasonic SDR-H26 is a more affordable downgrade from the Panasonic SDR-H80 and Panasonic SDR-H90 in that it doesn’t feature an integrated hard drive. Instead, the SDR-S26 relies on just an SD/SDHC memory card port that allows users to record video in MPEG-2 format. In addition, the SDR-S26 offers a 0.8 megapixel sensor, a 70x optical zoom, a 100x digital zoom, and a 2.7” LCD display. The SDR-S26 also boasts Optical Image Stabilization, and Face Detection functions for smoother recording, not to mention a YouTube video mode for Internet-ready recording. The Panasonic SDR-H26 retails for a much more affordable $329.95 (versus >$400) and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
