The Panasonic HDC-TM15 is a light-weight 1080p HD camcorder, released in early 2009. This camera comes with 16GB of built-in memory, and two SD card expansion slots. The optical zoom can be multiplied to 16x, allowing for subjects to appear in-frame from afar. The HDC-TM15 includes several modes to assist novice videographers, such as the iA Mode for automatically setting correct focus and exposure levels. Automatic AF tracking is also included to keep subjects as clear as possible while the camcorder is recording. Panasonic’s proprietary O.I.S image stabilization is built-in as well, designed to suppress the effects of hand-shake while recording on-the-go. The Panasonic HDC-TM15 connects to a PC via USB 2.0, and has mini HDMI, Component and A/V output for connecting the device to an HDTV.
