Edit

The Panasonic HDC-HS900 is a high-end camcorder. This camcorder is equipped with an Eco Mode, which automatically turns off the power when the camcorder is not operated for five minutes. The manual ring of the HDC-HS900 offers accurate video expression, reflecting a delicate response to the motions of your fingertips. The 20x zoom of this camcorder features Intelligent Zoom, which corrects the image degradation that occurs in ordinary digital zooming. The five internal microphones of the HDC-HS900 allow for 5.1 recording. This means that when audio recorded from front, right, left and back are played on a 5.1 channel home theater system, the result is a full, detailed sound. This camcorder is equipped with iA (Intelligent Auto), a feature that automatically selects the most suitable shooting mode at the press of a button. This function includes Face Recognition, which finds the faces of registered people (up to six faces can be registered) and optimizes the focus and exposure, tracking the subject as they move anywhere within the LCD frame. With its 3CMOS sensor (which operates with 7.59 million effective pixels), this camcorder can capture full HD 1080/60p video at 1920 x 1080 resolution. The 46mm F1.5 Leica Dicomar lens of the HDC-HS900 helps to produce bright images while cutting back ghost and flare. The Crystal Engine Pro processor instantly processes images with defined detail. The optical image stabilizer helps to ensure that you will not have images blurred from camera shake. This camcorder differs from the lower cost HDC-TM900 model in that it has a 220GB hard drive disc (as opposed to 32GB of internal memory). This is also what sets it apart from the lower cost HDC-SD900 and HDC-SD800 models, which have no built-in memory at all (the SD800 also lacks the manual ring and Dolby Digital Creator of the 900s). The Panasonic HDC-HS900 camcorder is capable of capturing 3D, with the add-on of a CLT1 conversion lens.
