Edit

The Panasonic VIERA TC-50PX24 is a 50” plasma television that uses 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology to enhance the picture display, allowing it to produce a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Unfortunately, the unit is limited to a 1024x768 resolution. On the bight side, however, the VIERA TC-50PX24 is outfitted with an abundance of connectivity options, including an HDMI input for receiving high-definition television or disc content; an SD card slot for viewing images; a PC input for accessing Internet film footage, and component/composite. Also featured is VIERA LINK functionality, which allows a user to control all his/her A/V components via a single remote; integrated 20W speakers; and an optional wall-mount kit (TY-WK3L2RW).

Resolution is not stated correctly as the model does 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p

pretty strange, the Panasonic site for this TV states 720p, but if you look closer it says it only has a native resolution of 1,024 x 768 with only 720 lines of moving resolution. What's up with that? That's not 720p.

Sounds like they are blowing up the 720 pixels to fit into the 768.

yes but that's not even 16:9, it should be at least 1280 for 720p.
