The Panasonic Toughbook C1 was announced as the world's lightest 12.1-inch convertible tablet PC. To be released in June 2010, the PC targets "business rugged" consumers, offering a weatherproof, ultra-durable, ultra-mobile design. The display features multi-touch and digitizer capabilities. The magnesium alloy exterior can sustain up to 225 lbs of pressure, and the 250GB hard drive is shock-mounted. The Toughbook C1 features a mainstream, 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor and 2 GB of RAM, enabling strong performance suited to its target users. The 1280x800 display is LED-backlit, helping to extend battery life to 10 hours with dual batteries. Wireless-N and Bluetooth support is built-in.
