The Panasonic AG-AF100 is the first-ever Micro Four Thirds digital camcorder. Geared for video and film production professionals, the AG-AF100 supports the Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens system and is compatible with Panasonic’s growing line of 4/3” lenses, filters, and adapters. More importantly, it can record 1080/24p content with the AVC/H.264 Hi Profile AVCHD codec to a pair of SD slots that support both SDHC and SHDX media cards. However, although the AG-AF100 has been designated as a professional-grade unit, critics like Engadget disagree, claiming instead that the AG-AF100 is better geared for Indie filmmakers, at best. Additional features include built-in ND filtering, support for LPCM/Dolby-AC3, and an HDMI / HD-SDI interfaces.
