Had mine for several years and I'm very happy with the quality of the photos, but is there any way/device for remote shutter control that will work with this camera?

My husband bought this camera for me for Xmas. I was looking for something simple to take
sports action shots (kids) with ability to zoom while still getting a clear enough photo to blow up. Will this camera do this for me? Or should I return it and buy another?

Love mine too. Use it for art photography, however, will be upgrading real soon and can't believe it's going so strong at 3 years and for how much I use it. Absolutely nothing broken or not working after 3 years. Simple and easy, versatile and durable.
