The Panasonic Lumix DCM-LS80 is one of the only cameras in the third generation of Lumix offerings released in early 2008 to earn mediocre reviews. The main issue reviewers cite for their opinion is the slow startup and shooting speed of the camera as compared to other models in the price range. It is among the cheapest and least feature-packed of the new Lumix models, but still offers a Leica lens (Leica glass is considered by many photographers and enthusiasts to be among the best available), optical image stabilization (one of the only cameras in the low-end price range with this feature) and many pre-programmed scene modes.

Features:
  • 8.1 megapixel CCD sensor
  • 3x zoom Leica lens
  • Shoots video
  • Self-timer
  • Variety of scene modes
  • Image stabilization
  • Batteries: 2 AA
  • Dimensions: 2.44'' x 3.77'' x 1.23''
  • Weight: 0.28 lbs
